If the AEK value is greater than the UCL value, it will be categorized as a traffic accident prone location. This type of research is descriptive research, namely research that describes current conditions, this study uses the Accident Equivalent Rate (AEK) method and the Upper Control Limit (UCL) method.
The purpose of this study was to determine the characteristics of traffic accidents on the West Perawang Regional Government road during the 2016 - 2020 period, to find out the accident-prone locations on the West Perawang Barat Regional Government road, and to provide alternatives for preventing future traffic accidents. As the population increases and the number of people using the highway for activities will indirectly cause problems and the impact of traffic accidents. Perawang Barat is known as an industrial area where Perawang Barat is one of the areas that has the largest paper mill in Indonesia. Perawang Barat is an area located in Tualang sub-district, Siak Regency, Riau Province.
